Portrait of an Era - Trinity College Dublin in the 1960's

A new book has just been published that may be of interest to members of our group.

Quoting Charles Edwards (TCD1961-1965), one of the book's sponsors,

This wonderful collection of photographs, taken in the 1960's, shows undergraduates during The Golden Era, when Trinity was 'small enough to be a college yet large enough to be a university'. It was a time when everybody knew each other and the entire student body fitted easily into the beautiful Georgian buildings, situated in the very heart of Dublin.

It has had an excellent write up in The Irish Times, which can be viewed alongside a selection of the photographs on this link:

International Welcome Programme Volunteers

The TCD Alumni Office, in conjunction with TCD's Global Relations office, is launching an International Welcome Programme and we are looking for volunteers.

The voluntary programme connects Trinity students who are abroad on an exchange with Trinity alumni who currently reside in the same region. The purpose is to welcome and provide these students with support in their transition to a year abroad and educate them on new cultural experiences (e.g. cultural differences, cost of living, extracurricular activities in the area etc).

If you would be interested in getting involved, please register. Register Here.
