The Trinity Business Alumni (TBA) Association comprises graduates of Trinity College Dublin of all academic disciplines, who have an interest in and involvement with business. It was founded in 1984 to reconnect graduates to the College through hosting a variety of business events, lectures and dinners and works closely with the Business School and the Trinity Foundation to achieve the following aims: - create opportunities to reconnect and network business alumni with each other and with the College; - help business alumni explore Lifelong Learning interests; - help create an environment which ‘opens’ the College to society and business; and - help create an environment which enables greater participation of business alumni in the College. These aims are achieved by roundtable breakfast discussions, dinners in camera with speakers at the cutting edge of business, lectures and general networking opportunities. Currently we have six corporate partners and these, along with our alumni in business, ensure the success of our events.
We have just launched our new website, www.tba.ie, which facilitates quick and easy registration, and also informs members of our various events. Membership is free.
At the moment, the membership of the TBA is primarily made up of members based in Ireland but we are looking to increase our presence in locations elsewhere. We believe that as TBA currently stands, it would be a very useful resource for Trinity Alumni based abroad but who do business in Ireland, or for those who have been working abroad but wish to return home. In due course we would like to increase our activities abroad also.

Civil Engineering at Trinity by Dr. Ron CoxWith the financial assistance of the Trinity Association & Trust, a new history of civil engineering at Trinity has just be published. Order Form (.pdf).
It is hoped that this book will be of interest, not only to engineering graduates, but to the alumni generally, as it chronicles the historical development of a subject area that was first supported by the Board and Fellows of the College way back in 1840 and which continues to flourish.
With best wishes to you and all your TCD Association & Trust Branch members.
Ron Cox (BAI 1955)
Research Fellow, Department of Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering
Former Senior Lecturer in the Department and Dean of Engineering.
